Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and prayers and peace be upon His faithful Messenger, and on his family and companions as a whole, and after, in this well-established building at Gharyan University and the Faculty of Arts, the Department of Arabic Language derives its visions from scientific foundations, the Department of Arabic Language is the building block of the Faculty of Arts, in an authentic scientific character that stems from the past, and takes into account modernity, it is the honor of science, where vision and knowledge considering its time, but with its originality, wit and present fruits, and foresees the future with a scientific approach planned by faculty members. This department belongs to a group of faculty members with experience and competence from various scientific degrees, and it establishes a constructive space, with the continuous support of the Dean of the Faculty, and the constant care of the university administration, in accordance with pioneering educational aspirations in its renaissance.

The department offers a bachelor's program in Arabic language regularly, and teaches some general courses to all college students.

It seeks to spread the culture of community awareness, enhance its communication with different segments of society, hold public lectures, cooperate with government institutions through the participation of its members in committee membership, and provide advisory services to other research institutions. Early on, graduate studies were opened in this blessed department, to graduate specialists in the field of language and literature, as students applying for postgraduate studies are distributed over two branches, namely the language branch and the literature branch, and we find in this field great competition between applicants, and the number of studies students has expanded in recent years.

Description


The Department of Arabic Language is one of the founding departments of the Faculty of Arts, and its headquarters is categorical (B) and is carried out by a number of faculty members who are known for their novelty, research and diligence, and they carry advanced scientific bicycles, qualifying them to carry out the tasks of all scientific stages, and the Department of Arabic Language participates with the rest of the scientific departments in a number of courses of interest to the student in other disciplines, The department cooperates with a number of Arabic language departments within the university in preparing for conferences, seminars and workshops, and the Arabic language department prevails in an atmosphere of constructive cooperation between its professors who spared no effort but made it to serve their language and college. The Department of Arabic Language has sufficient cumulative experience that enables it to manage its own affairs by teaching, supervising and following up on all its students who come to it from most regions of the country.

The department was headed by a number of distinguished professors and they were an example of giving and giving, and the department renews itself by choosing a number of distinguished students in it, by choosing them as teaching assistants in it, and they are the ones who will carry the flag in the future.

Graduating qualified specialists in Arabic language sciences, literature and skills, equipped with an Arab culture, and able to produce international scientific research that contributes to the development of Arabic language sciences, and provides local and international community services.

Goals


1- Building scientific cadres capable of proper pronunciation and correct writing in Arabic.

2- Enable students to understand grammar and employ it well.

3- To familiarize the student with the history of Arabic literature.

4- The student should be trained in rhetorical methods. 

5- The student should be able to write correctly and read properly.

6- The student should be trained in contemporary critical theories.
